We are a small company of three electrical experts, two business partners and an apprentice who is just about to qualify. We provide electrical and air conditioning services including contracting, installation, maintenance, testing and inspection.
The business was established in 1987 and have more than 50 years of combined experience in serving both the commercial and industrial customers.
We work with many onsite businesses at Westcott but for nearly a decade have also been working with the onsite management team to carry out street lighting repairs and maintenance, including work on buildings being refurbished or new developments around the park.
Our landlords also contract us to maintain the solar park, which involves a yearly maintenance of the 6,102 panels, checking the fuse boards and 112 invertors for damage.
There are a multitude of things that can go wrong as these panels are outside so are affected by the changing weather conditions, some faults simply require a reset but others require a more immediate response.
We have a good working relationship with our landlords and we also look after various other customers on the park such as Bucks Recycling, Construction Specialties, BAE Systems, Ecopac, Balance International, BS Motorsport and AJF Motor Engineers. It works well for us to be based in close proximity to our customer base where we can respond quickly to issues that might arise and it’s also good to be visible to both existing and potential customers.
It’s great to see the Westcott management team taking steps, like the Rocket newsletter, to create more of an interactive community feel to the park. We have seen significant investment into the park over the years, which has benefitted onsite businesses and the management team is now perceived as approachable.
Our future plans are to continue to keep going as we are by providing customers with a professional electrical and air conditioning service. We have seen too many businesses that grow quickly but lose control of the quality of their work. As 90% of our business comes from repeat customers it’s imperative for us to retain our integrity, so although we are looking to take on another apprentice in the not too distant future we are not looking to grow in size.
