A mouth-watering new food offering has come to Westcott due to popular demand.
Tuck Trucks is offering a wide variety of street food cuisine from a range of backgrounds every fortnight following a successful trial period.
Tenants can expect changing options including Thai, Middle Eastern, Italian, BBQ and many other cuisines all freshly prepared by vendors with the emphasis on choice.
Tuck Trucks visited the Park during the summer including the Showcase event and feedback was overwhelmingly positive.
Emily Dingle, Chief Operating Officer of URA Thrusters said: “The food at the Showcase event was fantastic. This is a real bonus for Westcott businesses as they have been asking for a greater variety of food options to come onsite. It really is something to look forward to.”
If the bi-weekly visit goes well, the plan will be to increase Tuck Trucks’ visits to weekly or twice weekly depending on demand.
Businesses also have the opportunity to establish Customised Employee Benefit Schemes, enabling teams to access discounts across the rotating lineup of street food vendors hosted by Tuck Trucks. Onsite companies have already started discussions with Tuck Trucks eager to improve employee access to the mix of vibrant food offerings that will be visiting Westcott. More Info
Tuck Trucks is the brainchild of CEO Rupert Smith and Co-Founding Partner Tom Lindsay, who created the business in 2020 just before lockdown with the aim of offering a delicious variety of food that can be ordered digitally, cutting out queuing.
"Tom and I initially connected over a shared passion for street food and our belief in the untapped potential of the industry, driven by its affordability, exceptional quality, and authenticity of its offering."
However, there were certain aspects that we were determined to improve. Long queues, extended waits, the disappointment of your desired dish being sold out, and the uncertainty of vendor locations were all pain points that prevail across various street food settings, including business parks, street food markets, stadiums, festivals, and events. Despite its charm, street food suffers from a lack of visibility, convenience and outdated operational processes.
Tuck Trucks enables venues to book and access the best of the UK street food industry, and its system allows customers to view vendor options on a digital marketplace, place orders and pre-orders seamlessly online, access company discounts, all while reducing the usual lunchtime queues and allowing customers to receive orders when they actually want them."
"Our primary objective is to empower vendors with the right technology to enhance convenience and operational efficiency, all while preserving the authenticity that makes their products truly exceptional."
Business Park Manager, Jayne Cannell added: “We have had many requests from tenants wanting a wider choice of catering and Tuck Trucks really seems to fit the bill.
“We have had great feedback on their food and service and now we can’t wait for Tuck Trucks Tuesday!”
Tuck Trucks will be onsite every two weeks on a Tuesday and will be based outside the Westcott Incubation Centre – Building 9000 Street 4 from 11.30am – 2pm.
