A precision engineering company has been born after making Westcott Venture Park its new home.
Torque Precision Ltd was previously known as Bucks Laser Tech and offered a range of services including laser cutting, part marking and fabrication work to many UK industries.
Now, the switch from the Space Business Centre in Aylesbury to Westcott has prompted the name change in line with the expansion and investment of modern CNC equipment to manufacture for sectors such as oil and gas, motorsport, medical and defence.
Managing Director, Daniel Walden said: “We have invested in modern CNC machines and laser systems to provide maximum accuracy and a fast turnaround on all volumes. Since launching our CNC service, we have picked up a substantial amount of business and have worked on R&D projects for Optical & Defense sectors.
“Quality, service and value are central to our ethos. We work closely with our customers from initial contact through to final production. This ensures all parts, components and products are dealt with professionally and to the highest standard.”
Torque Precision had previously been operating on a rolling month by month contract and the business required both larger premises and a more permanent home.
It has gone from occupying a 300 sq ft unit to 1,600 sq ft at Westcott’s Building 82 and there is room for further growth in the long-term.
Daniel said: “Security is also vital due to our high value machinery and we have at Westcott. We felt this was a business park where we could build our future.
"We currently have a team of three and aim to employ further staff and invest in more machinery in the coming months. It’s a great working community and we look forward to working with and for other businesses at Westcott.”
