CONSTRUCTION UNDERWAY FOR INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT

20/04/15

Work has started on site for Phase One of the regions first speculative industrial development for more than seven years.

The scheme, which is to be called Century Court, is being developed at Westcott Venture Park, the largest business park in Buckinghamshire, located between Aylesbury and Bicester. Business park owner Rockspring Hanover Property Unit Trust is delivering the development, and completion is scheduled for summer 2015.

Century Court will comprise two terraces of industrial units offering space from 2,000 sq ft to 6,000 sq ft built to a high specification. Once completed it will be the only scheme to offer newly built warehouse accommodation in the area.

“It's exciting to be taking the park forward into a fresh development phase and it's great to see a speculative development of this quality now under construction. Century Court will be a fantastic addition to the wide range of buildings already at Westcott Venture Park and should be well placed to capture the growing demand from companies seeking a first-class business environment with excellent amenities. We are already in discussions with a number of high profile occupiers who have recognised the unique nature of this new scheme.” Says Nigel MacKenzie, project manager at Westcott Venture Park.

Rockspring has appointed Ashridge Construction to develop Phase One of the scheme with a contract value of approximately £1.5 million. The overall investment in the new development is estimated to be in the region of £3 million.
